Featherbed Lane Bird Banding Station Field Trip Report
Tom Cosmas, Mark Witmer and Hannah Suthers

Hannah Suthers welcomed a visit by a group of folks from WCAS at the Featherbed Lane Bird Banding Station on September 18 and presented a few of the captured birds. She and the other volunteers enlightened the human visitors with a demonstration of the data collected about the avian 'guests' who visit the mist nets.

Hannah displaying a six-year-old Common Yellowthroat banded in 2007 and recaptured for the third time on 9/18/2011.

A very special bird was caught on 9/11 at the Featherbed Lane banding station: a hatch year Mourning Warbler.

Hannah checking the recorded physical data for a bird (or two?) in hand.
