Washington Crossing Audubon Society is the local chapter of the National Audubon Society in Central New Jersey, with over 1300 members, and is a non-profit 501(c)3 volunteer environmental group funded by membership contributions and outside donations. WCAS actively seeks to expand environmental education to people of all ages in Central New Jersey, which range from holding monthly program meetings and field trips open to the public, to symposia for local organizations and corporations. Washington Crossing Audubon Society's region encompasses all of Mercer County and parts of Burlington, Hunterdon, and Somerset Counties.
