At the September program meeting, prizes were announced for Birdathon 2014. The incredible Hannah Suthers received top prize for the highest dollar amount solicited and received a wonderful Purple Martin gourd birdhouse, generously donated by Franta Boulik. The prize for the highest number of bird species observed, once again, went to Charles Brine and he received Rare Birds of North America, by Steve N.G. Howell, Ian Lewington, & Will Russell, donated by the Princeton University Press. This year, we awarded a prize to the Team Leader, whose Birdathon team came in with the highest species count. Tyler Christensen, who led the team at Baldpate Mountain, received Red-Tails in Love: Pale Male's Story by Marie Winn.

The grand total stands at $5,217!
