Carson Road Woods Survey Draws to a Close
Pat Sziber

WCAS volunteers have completed their field biological survey of Carson Road Woods in Lawrence Township and the data is being compiled into a report. Recommendations for management of the property will be made based on the results of our study. Trail maintenance and protection of the best habitat areas will be important elements in our report.

Part of the 20-mile Lawrence-Hopewell Trail is planned to bisect the property. However, you can walk the existing trails of the park now and enjoy the winter birds that are utilizing the hedgerows, woodland edges and the old peach orchard. Park either on Carson Road or on Belleview Terrace, which is reached from Mya Drive off Rosedale Road near Educational Testing Service.
