2008 Mercer Butterfly Count Announcement

The 2008 Mercer Butterfly Count, sponsored by WCAS, will be held on Sunday July 13. If you are interested in participating, please contact me at either
frank.bader@comcast.net or 609-530-1229. Please give me some indication of your experience and skill in identifying butterflies, including skippers (the LBJ's of the butterfly world) so he can match beginners and novices with more experienced butterfliers.
Summary of Previous Counts
Last year, the count was held on July 9 and had 16 participants. A total of 40 species and 2425 individuals were found (compared to 40 species and 4998 individuals in 2005).
