[Editor's Note: Two highlights of the trip were 1) the sighting of a Bald Eagle flying
  down the canal near the patch in the wall breach. 2) The sighting of a pair of
  Great Crested Flycatchers building a nest. One bird carrying nesting material while
  the other was guarding the hole while mate was inside.]
