Birdathon Wrap-Up

Hi Everyone,

This hot weather has prompted me to stay indoors and try to wrap-up the 2007 Birdathon. Almost all the donations are in now, I think.

First, many thanks to all the generous individual donors.

Secondly, special thanks to all those who gathered pledges from their friends. More than 60% of the Birdathon total came from pledges rounded up by a few people. I'll mention a few at the risk of slighting others. Landy Eaton, Barbara Ross, Hannah Suthers, Mark Witmer, and Jeff Hall really rounded up the $$.

The total to date is $4200+. I believe that's similar to last year. We never do come close to our stated goal of $10k. But maybe next year?!!

I have sent lists of their donors to several people in case they wish to thank them.

2nd earlybird - Evelyn Roberts (an Eaton donor; birdhouse)
most $ from pledges - Landy Eaton (gift cert. from Agway)
grand prize - James Bryson (Witmer supporter who has donated generously for several years; big basket of feeders, etc. from Kales)
